This week was themed Harley Quinn, the muse of the Joker. She has a few costume variations but I decided to choose her latest from the book Suicide Squad.

Yojimbos Challenge

It's been a couple of weeks but I have managed to get on top of work enough to do my weekly sketch up. I knocked this one on the head in one night, although like most drawings, it takes me a little while to think abiout the composition and narrative that I want the work to tell.

I chose this image because of the soft moment between Bruce and Selina and Joker had abused her.

The Emperor

This was for an Ozcomics weekly sketch up. I havent done one of these for a while because I have been committed to doing a sequential comic piece for FEC Comics.

I chose this image because it was one of the first times in the original trilogy when you see the Emperor actual flash anger and intelligence whe he replies to Luke's criticism by angily shutting him down in regards to Luke's faith in his friends.

Hulk wants to be left alone

This is a tribute the Hulk I grew up with, drawn by the amazing Sal Buscema. I like the idea of Hulk escaping away hidden in a train carriage.

The rise of the black wampa

This weeks blog sketch up required my to create a cover image. I racked my brain of all the Starwars themed images that I wanted to create and I ended on the Tauntauns. I would love to do an image with these creatures as a large oil painting in an ice landscape. Anyhow, this was posted in the Ozcomics Facebook group

The murder of Elektra

This was a quick sketch up for this weeks OzComics, I really enjoyed washing out the warm reds and replacing the reds with blue grey, dropping the image backwards in those spots, which brought those warm colours to the foreground

Burial of the flower

This weeks sketch up was Frankenstein. I thought the creepiest moment in the film with Boris Karloff is the scenes with the little girl. It still haunts me. This is one of the flowers she gave him.
