Batman and Bane

Although I've never been a huge fan of the character in the comics, I was pleased to be able to play around with the costume for Bane on the movie version for this commission for Julie Taylor.
Its always fun doing different versions of Batman!

This weeks sketch up was for the 75th Birthday for Batman and Ozcomics had the Batman comp. I thought it would be great to do an alternative Batman, so I went with the Thomas Wayne from the Flashpoint series.

My Kingdom Come

This is my little homage to my favourite Superman, the Alex Ross Kingdom Come version. I did however choose a different model for the face and adapted it how I wanted it. I didn't want to rip off Mr Ross

This was a sketch up for Ozcomics, and prompts me into thinking about a large painting. I'm getting more and more absorbed into the old Fleischer studios work. my large painting will be from that era

The Joker

This painting began because my son Wyatt loves the Rocketeer, he has watched the movie at least a gazillion times. For his birthday I started this oil painting on canvas for his room. The pose was created from Dave Stevens rear cover image.

Harleys Xmas Greetngs

This week was themed Harley Quinn, the muse of the Joker. She has a few costume variations but I decided to choose her latest from the book Suicide Squad.
